And here’s the other, “Ode to Oppenheimer”. Here’s the lyrics as welllll :)

Oh twas the heat of the night on that fated autumn eve
When Michael came a riding with his sword all ablaze
Said Zade man I’ve got a story needs to be told
Pass it on to people, the young and the old
This is the tale of the day religion died
On fire in the barn all bound gagged and tied
When the angels and devils, fell asleep in their beds
And left us poor saps with our thoughts hanging on by threads
“God,” Michael said, “has simply up and left,
Turned heaven into hell and earth is full of death,
So believe it or not (and I can’t believe this was missed)
But it seems to be that we never did exist…
This is the tale of the day religion failed
On fire in the chapel when it rained and it hailed
Satan wasn’t there, just a big atomic bomb
And with a chorus of believers, science sang along
So the bodies of the greats were all soon exhumed
Oppenheimer, Curie, Einstein and his crew
They were put on golden thrones, crowns on rotting heads
And people knelt before them, praying to the dead…
This is the tale of the day religion changed
When the paradigm shifted to be even more deranged
Is it worse to worship a fairytale written long ago
Or to pray to a prophet and his calculating bones…
We as a species are prone to find a way
To find meaning in a life that’s full of meaning any way
To find something to worship in a land of make believe
But if we can’t love ourselves than we’ll never be free
